Ringo Pro works on Palm OS Treo models. This
currently includes the Treo 600, Treo 650 and Treo 700p. Previous versions of Ringo may work on the Treo 270,
but it is no longer supported, so
please ensure it meets your needs before purchase.
The Ringo Ringtones Store is
provided by logogo, an Electric Pocket partner. For
customer support on ringtone purchases, please contact
customer.support@logogo.com
You can put them directly onto an SD card (with a SD
card reader) and then pick them in Ringo. You can also
convert an MP3 file to a PRC which you can directly
HotSync to your Treo, using our free
Tone-o-mat.
Please see our MP3 Guide for
full information on transfering MP3 and other music
files to your Treo.
First, sorry - we know how frustrating that can
be. The Treo platform is very complex, and each
operator's version has subtle (and hidden) differences.
We try our best to test across all variants, but
sometimes bugs slip through. To reduce problems, please
try the following steps...
Please check that you don't have any numbers which
are only on your SIM card memory, and not in your
Contacts list. Please copy all numbers from your SIM to
your Contacts list - using the "Import to SIM" menu in
the Contacts application on your Treo.
Please ensure you have the latest version of Ringo
installed (get it here)
Please disable Ringo and see if the problem remains, or
is only a problem when Ringo is enabled.
After a crash, please run Ringo and press the "Trace"
button on the About screen. This will log into Electric
Pocket's support site and send our crack development
team
diagnostic information.
If problems continue, please
contact our support team, advising them of your
Hotsync ID, Carrier, Treo model and Ringo Version.
Ringo Mobile works on Windows Mobile 5.0 and 6.0, on both Pocket PC and Smartphone versions. We have an older version which works on Windows Mobile 2003, which you can download here.
BugMe! Notepad requires Palm OS 5.0 and above. If you don't have Palm OS 5.0, please continue to use BugMe! - which you can download here.
If you are a registered BugMe! customer and wish to upgrade to BugMe! Notepad, please visit
our self-help support section.
You can make screenshots of most Palm OS
applications, provided you have Palm OS 4.0 or above. To make a screenshot,
enter the Graffiti stroke / in the application you want to grab. Then just
choose the BugMe! or BugMe! Notepad icon from the toolbar - the screen is grabbed to BugMe! where
you can jot on it. You can quickly return to the previous application by tapping
its icon, which will be shown at the top of the BugMe! screen.
Treo users should install PopMe!,
then you can use the side button to grab any application screen into BugMe!
Unfortunately the BugMe! Classic notes cannot be used in BugMe! Notepad. You can
still view them on your PC using our
BugMe! Viewer application.
If you have a lot of notes and find BugMe! is sluggish, here's what to do:
1) Make sure you are running the latest version of
BugMe!
2) Delete any unwanted notes
3) Save some notes to the SD card (see user guide)
Please delete BugMe! from your device and reinstall the latest version of
BugMe! - hopefully this will get you up and running.
Newer releases of BugMe! fix
this, and BugMe! and Jot now work together. You can now seamlessly scribble in BugMe! and use Jot in BugMe! to write text.
Please make sure you have the latest version of Jot ( v2.0
or greater).
BugMe! Mobile requires a Windows Mobile Pocket PC
When you are in another application you can, at any time,
take a snapshot of the screen you are looking at and annotate it in BugMe! To do
this, when you are at the screen you wish to capture it may be a page of an
e-book, an internet site, a calendar entry, anything tap on the Start menu and
select BugMe! Screen Grab. You will then see the page launched as a BugMe! Note
that can be annotated emailed and edited like any other.

goMP3 is a different name for Busker (we were told
Americans don't know what Buskers are, so the name made
no sense. Amusingly, the people who told us that no
longer work where they worked, so perhaps they have had
to become Buskers themselves.)
If you have any questions about goMP3 or are looking
for updates, please visit our Busker
pages - Busker and goMP3 are exactly the same
(except in name) so you can update your copy of goMP3
with the latest Busker if you like.
There is a folder called
/Busker on your SD card. Delete the file BuskerDB from
there and Busker will rescan your music when you run it.
This can be useful if Busker has previously become
confused.
Its someone who plays music in the street. Which
is why we like it as a name for a mobile music player :)
We know that no-one needs
to use Mailer any more, but it was a great application
in its day. We've left the answers here just in case
they help anyone out.
Sorry, no - Mailer currently lets you collect email
from POP3 accounts.
What does 'No Carrier (0x1102)' mean? Your network settings are not correct. Go to the
Preferences app, to the Network form, and check that the
details of phone number, username, and password are
correct. You can test these details by using the 'connect'
button at the bottom of this form.
Mailer connects to your mail servers wirelessly
over your Palm's network connection. This message means
that you don't have a network connection set up on your
Palm. In order to set up a network connection, you'll need
to put the details of your ISP account (phone number,
username, password) into the Network form in the Prefs
application.
Mailer connects to your mail servers
wirelessly over your PDA's network connection. It does not
send & receive mail when you HotSync.
'Relaying Denied' messages are a symptom of your
mail provider's anti-spam policies. The SMTP server issues
these messages when it doesn't regard you as an authorised
user.
To fix the problem: First, make sure that you can receive mail from your POP
server. That may require changes to your POP server, your
username, or your password.
Some providers won't let you use the SMTP server to
send messages unless you have recently logged in to the
POP server to receive messages, so it's important to get
receive set up before you try to fix send.
If you've received messages but still get 'Relaying
Denied' when you try to send, see if your mail provider is
also the ISP you are dialling up to. Some mail providers
will only offer SMTP service to users who are dialled up
to their own access phone number.
If this is your problem, you have three possible
solutions:
(1) Complain to your mail provider, and ask them to
change their policy.
(2) Use an SMTP server that's run by your ISP, if
they have one
(3) Change ISP, so that you dial up your mail
provider directly.
Cingular do not run an SMTP server.
Earthlink's SMTP server is only accessible to users who
are dialled up to an Eathlink access number - use
smtpauth.earthlink.net instead!
Mindspring's SMTP server is only accessible to users
who are dialled up to an Mindspring access number

Hotmail doesn't offer any POP or SMTP servers, so
Mailer won't work with your Hotmail account.
AOL doesn't offer any POP or SMTP servers, so Mailer
won't work with your AOL account.
AT&T (attbi) requires SSL for access from outside
their network.
MSN's POP3 email uses microsoft's "secure password
authentication"
BTConnect use an obsolete POP server, which doesn't
support UIDL, hence Mailer cannot work with it.
Yahoo: POP access to Yahoo is a subscription service: http://help.yahoo.com/help/us/mail/pop/pop-16.html
